I believe there is cross-party support in the London Assembly for the DLR extension to Thamesmead. Would you support the extension to go beyond Thamesmead to Belvedere?

An extension of the DLR from Gallions Reach to Thamesmead via Beckton Riverside would unlock up to 25 to 30,000 much-needed new homes across two Opportunity Areas as well as provide a new sustainable river crossing for east London. Accordingly, working to deliver this extension is a key priority, as outlined in my manifesto.
A further DLR extension to Belvedere has been considered and would bring additional benefits in addition to the extension to Thamesmead. Given funding constraints, the extension to Thamesmead must be delivered first. However, it will be designed in such a way as to provide opportunity for a further extension in the future.
