London Power was launched in 2020 and had built up to 6,500 customers by autumn 2022 - its customer base has remained broadly steady since then. The latest available year-end breakdown of customers since launch is provided in the table below-

How many complaints have been registered against London Power since its establishment and how are they categorised?

If a customer has a complaint open for over 8 weeks, they can refer this complaint to the independent Energy Ombudsman. Since London Power was launched in 2020, 15 complaints were handled by the independent Energy Ombudsman.

What is planned for the long term future of London Power? Will you continue to provide funding?

The contract with Octopus Energy Limited to run London Power is in place until August 2027. London Power will continue to offer customer service to existing London Power customers until then.
London Power has been operating at no net cost to Londoners since 2022, with all expenditure covered by commission received from Octopus Energy.

London Power’s standard variable tariff (my london flexible plan) is currently £1,694 per year for an average London household. This is £15 below the current price cap.
London Power’s pre-payment meter tariff (my london top-up plan) is currently £1,643 per year for an average London household. This is £18 below the price cap.
