As part of the tender process for the pan Transport for London Security Contract vetting will be included at both the supplier questionnaire (SQ) stage and the tender stage. This contract will provide physical security at various locations across the Transport for London (TfL) estate.
Vetting will include at the SQ stage: assessment of financial standing, company registration checks, financial risk rating, declarations of suitability to contract (ie: no prosecutions of Directors, CCJs etc), Heath & Safety record assessment, ISO certification
Vetting takes place at the Tender Stage through our assessment of:
o Previous experience and client references
o Company level: Security industry accreditations – in the current procurement we shall be looking for contractors to hold NSI Gold (operated by the National Security Inspectorate) and also ISO9001
o Individual Security officers accreditations – each must hold SIA (Security Industry Authority) Licences
o Further vetting of security officers is on a local business unit or Site specific basis as stated in TfL’s specification and may include DBS, Metropolitan Police Service Non Police Personnel Vetting and British Transport Police Non Police Personnel Vetting
