Further to MQ2024/2569, what progress have you made on a 100% zero emission bus fleet and what more can be done?
Answer (Sadiq Khan): 23rd December 2024
There are currently 1,748 zero-emission tailpipe buses in the London fleet, and more than 1,000 zero-emission buses on order. I have committed to a zero-emission bus fleet by 2030 and Transport for London (TfL) continues to work closely with key stakeholders to achieve this.
All new buses entering service are now zero-emission and TfL is working with bus manufacturers to develop a vibrant and competitive zero-emission market, while also working with stakeholders to ensure necessary infrastructure is available to enable the transition.
